FACT: 26 makeup artists, 22 hair stylists & 8 manicurists turned the Victoria’s Secret supermodels into ANGELS at yesterday’s taping of the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The 2013 Victoria’s Secret look of the show was fresh-faced with a subtle dewey, rosy glow and sultry eyes. “It’s all about looking healthy and sexy. I add a very sheer, dusty red lipstick to the cheeks, nose and lips,” says Dick Page, lead makeup artist. So how can YOU achieve this look without the entourage? Known as Allure’s “The Makeup Guy” lead makeup artist, Dick Page, walks us through the products and techniques used t create the sexy Angelic look:
For hair, Victoria’s Secret has teamed up with one of my favorite hair tool brands, GHD, the magic behind good hair days! This was the first ever official hair tools sponsor of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Hair guru, Orlando Pita first dried hair using the GHD air Professional Performance Hairdryer ($225, www.ghdhair.com/us) and GHD brushes ($50 – $56, www.ghdhair.com/us). ghd air dries hair twice as fast as other consumer driers thanks to advanced ionic technology, which also helps to reduce frizz for a shinier, smoother finish. Then Orlando used the new GHD Tri-Zone Styler flat iron to create the signature look of the Angels- “tousled, but also very glossy” hairstyles with a trendy side part and large, softly textured waves. The GHD Tri-Zone includes patented technology with three sensors on each plate, which allows the styler to maintain a constant temperature, delivering long lasting styles with greater shine, and can be used on all hair types for faster, more beautiful results. The results: faster styling with more shine and less heat (185 degrees!). The GHD Tri-Zone Styler will be available mid-December, and debuted exclusively in the hands of Orlando Pita and stylists backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
