Highlights from IBS NY/IECSC 2011

March 17, 2011 Beauty

This year’s International Beauty Show was a blast! The event took place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on March 6-8, 2011.  A show geared towards haircare, skincare, and makeup professionals, IBS NYC is an opportunity to shop, shmooze, and watch, as hundreds of vendors showcase  what they’ve got.  All my favorite brands were there,  as well as fellow beauty junkies and bloggers. Superstar brands present were CHI, Moroccan Oil, Keratin Complex, SHE hair extentions, among many, many others.  The event was filled with beauty-lovers everywhere:  makeup artists, stylists, beauty vendors,  you name it. I was also able to meet and greet with beauty personalities such as celebrity makeup artist Eve Pearl,  as well as Bachelor-ettes Ashley Elmore and Gwen Goia.

Co-located with IBS NY was the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference,  where health and beauty industries come together to showcase products in wellness, skincare, and cosmetics.  New and noteworthy products that debuted included the G.M. Collins Stem Cell skincare line, IBD Shellac soak-off gel polish, and PaloVia at home laser. The best thing about these shows is learning about awesome new products and how they work.  Check out highlights from IBS NY/ IECSC 2011!
