Summer of Sales: Tory Burch & Louboutin and Others

Sample sales are great at any time of the year, but I have to admit, summer has got to be my favorite. From shoes, clothing, accessories, and bridal sales, there’s nothing more gratifying than strolling through the garment district and showroom-hopping for some fabulous bargains.

The peak of summer sample sales start in June, and yesterday I was able to make it to the preview of the Tory Burch sale.

This season’s Tory Burch sale has a better stock of clothing, particularly the outerwear, blazers, and jackets. Shoes were flying off the shelves left and right. The famous ballet flats only had 1 design in 2 colors, which were virtually gone by 6PM. Popular sizes (like my size 7 feet) were the first to go, but I was told they would be re-stocking during the week, but will have a limited supply of inventory as far as shoes go. Prices were pretty much the same, but the best day to go is on Thursday, when they begin to slash prices.

The preview purse collection was not that impressive, most were casual totes, hobos, and some messenger bags. There were no dressy, formal clutches. I will see what they have during the week once they re-stock, but today I did manage to snag a pair of long awaited Romy ballet flats in almond/black!
