The Box at Lincoln Center was transformed as the scenery takes you back to the  ‘Gold Rush Era’,  which inspired the Fall/Winter 2012 collection for Candela.  Designer Gabriela Perezutti-Isacson revealed that her inspiration was the Gold Rush Era because “while looking at old family pictures, the Gold Rush Era in California was specifically the same time when my family installed their farm, so both eras contained the same type of clothing, so it was very inspirational to see the two eras colliding.”

The vibe was casual and relaxed,  and the collection very wearable. Western meets Victorian, with pops of deep colors of violet, navy, and jungle green.  Notes Perezutti, “The woman I design for is free spirited and natural. She knows how to dress up or dress down easily.”
