|I *heart* You! Four ways to show your sweetheart some L-O-V-E!|
1. Get Crafty
Nothing says “I Love You” more than the time, creativity, and thought placed into making something special for that special someone. Be it a poem, a heartfelt DIY Valentine’s card, handmade photo album, or sweet treats, putting in the little extra effort to show your sentiments will give anyone that warm, tingly feeling. Just recently, I discovered a new take on the classic DIY Valentine- an edible one! Here’s the recipe to share with your sweetheart with the sweet tooth.
Supplies you need:
– Sugar cookie glaze
-Sugar cookie dough, prepared
– Large pan
1. Bake one large sugar cookie the size of the entire pan. Once the cookie has fully cooled, transfer the cookie to a cake board and cut with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
2. Spread the sugar cookie glaze over the cookie and allow to fully harden.
3. Design a love note or funny message.
4. Decorate the cookies with frosting. BE CREATIVE!
Voila! An edible V-Day card.
2. Rent a Romance
“You complete me.”
“Have you never met a woman who inspires you to love? Until your every sense is filled with her? You inhale her. You taste her. You see your unborn children in her eyes and know that your heart has at last found a home. Your life begins with her, and without her it must surely end.”
*You know where you heard these from. Cuddling up with your honey while watching tear-jerkers and classic love stories will leave inspired and in the mood for romance. Want if for FREE? Blockbuster Express gives coupon codes from time to time for a free rental.

3. Plan a Sexy Supper
The best way to your lover’s heart is through the stomach! A delicious (and easy!) meal is the jump-start to an evening of romance. I found this quick and simple, yet tasty recipe for linguine with shrimp. Bon Apetit!
6 oz. linguine, cooked
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 lb. baby bella mushrooms, sliced
1/4 C. butter
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 . lite cream
2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, minced
|3/4 tsp dried basil
salt & pepper, to taste
1/2 C. chicken broth, boiling
1/2 lb shrimp, cleaned, shelled, and cooked
1/4 C. Parmesan cheese, grated
Boil linguine in lightly salted water until cooked. Drain.
For the sauce: Heat one tablespoon of butter in skillet over med-high heat. Add mushrooms and sautee until tender. Transfer mushrooms to a small plate and set aside.
Heat the 1/4 cup butter in skillet. Add the minced garlic, then stir in the light cream.
Allow cheese to melt, then add the parsley and basil. Let simmer five minutes.
Add boiling chicken broth until sauce is smooth. Add shrimp and mushrooms and heat through, about 2 minutes.
Toss cooked pasta with sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan, and serve.
4. Save Room for Dessert
Nothing screams romance like chocolate, strawberries, and champagne. According to BBC News, chocolate contains phenylethylamine, which is an alkaloid that can serve as a mild sexual stimulant.
Juicy red strawberries dipped in rich milk chocolate, enjoyed with a light bubbly glass of champagne is a sweet and sensual end to the perfect dinner.
Have a beautiful V-Day!
